I recommend if you have a Perry’s Steakhouse and Grill nearby, to go and experience Perry’s Pork Chop Friday’s Lunch Special . Friday is the only day that they are open for lunch and Friday is the only day they offer this fantastic special.

A Great Place for Celebrations

So Jodie and I love to take advantage of Perry’s Pork Chop Lunch Special especially when we want to celebrate!

When we first found out about this special, the pork chop that was served at lunch was the dinner portion. The dinner chop is a giant 6 – 8 fingers high chop that they carve table side. Twice the size of the picture above!

Funny story. The second time we took advantage of the pork chop lunch special,
we decided to split one. This was while they were still serving the dinner size . There we are enjoying our cocktails and we see the waitstaff bring over to our table two huge pork chops . Jodie and I looked at each other and suspected that the waiter didn’t hear that we wanted to split just one lunch special.

They presented at table side and carved the chop into three portions for each of us. And yes we were in hog heaven. LOL. Then the waiter, Danny was his name, exclaimed that he took the liberty to have the kitchen split the chop for us. What? Wow we replied. This is just one pork chop split? Danny smiled with satisfaction and said yes it is. Needless to say we had leftovers for a week.

Perry’s Pork Chop Special Downsized

As was anticipated, a few years ago Perry’s changed the portion of their Friday pork chop special to the lunch size., The lunch size is about half the dinner portion. But still for $14.95 it is a bargain. I don’t know how they offered the dinner size all those years for the same price.

Perry’s Steak and Grill consistently gets their pork chop cooked to perfection. It’s juicy and tender with the perfect char and caramelization. And the spice rub they put on the chop has just the right amount of smoke and tanginess. To top it off, excuse the pun; they top it off with a lime butter sauce and a lime. Included with the meal are mash potatoes and apple sauce. The mash potatoes are creamy and buttery and the apple sauce has just the right amount of sweetness.

And yes Jodie and I still split one lunch serving and yes we still bring home leftovers.

The Beginning and the End

Also, Jodie and I love Perry’s selection of wines and cocktails. Jodie likes to get the mini martini flight and they have a large selection from which to choose. You can choose from the traditional martini to the sweet desserty kind. Myself, I usually like to start off with a dry white wine. A pinot grigio, dry riesling or sometimes, especially during the summer I love to begin with a glass of prosecco. With the meal we order a glass of a dry red blend or pinot noir or something from their interesting reds selection. We laugh when the bill arrives that most of the charges are for drinks.

Wonderfully, if you sign up for their newsletter you receive a free dessert trio for anniversaries and birthdays. But why stop at the dessert trio when their other desserts are decadently delicious. My favorite use to be the peanut butter candy bar, until I had to stop eating peanuts. But I do enjoy the Mont Blanc a la Frisc or the Bananas Foster, yummy!

One other benefit about dinning at Perry’s Steak and Grill in Denver anyways, is that they offer free valet service. We like to take advantage of the valet service as it adds another element of pampering. Spoiled I know.

Final Thoughts

So I need to mention how friendly and professional the staff is every time we dine at Perry’s . They are all so attentive and engaging. The entire staff makes it a point to have you feel like you are their only customer. And this is especially refreshing in Denver because the service industry in Denver is experiencing a shortage of qualified people.

Just Me Talking Section

Ok, for you guys out there (and gals to), this is just me talking now. So you are excited to take advantage of the $14.95 special. And you are thinking this would be a perfect place to take your significant other. Well you are correct!

May I make one suggestion? Please take off your baseball hat after entering the restaurant. I know the world has become very casual, especially in Denver. And maybe you are not use to going to such a nice place. Then again maybe you are. Remember, you are with someone you care about. Show them you care with some common courtesies. One is by simply removing your hat. Another, If possible wear pants not shorts or at least nice shorts. And if you don’t ever dress up, at least put on clean pants and a clean shirt. And please guys and girls no flip flops. Or at least nice flip flops. Just pretend you are on your first date!

And most importantly!! Treat your waiter, the person who fills your water glass and everyone else who is trying to make your dinning experience pleasurable. Please treat them with kindness and respect. Saying Please and Thank You goes a very long way. Just me talking. And have fun.

Thank you for stopping by and until next time!

Ciao! And buon appetito.

  1. Rob,

    I’m learning a few things:
    1) Do NOT read your post when I haven’t eaten yet! Now sitting here drooling….
    2) You appreciate the same things Glenn and I do in a restaurant – presentation, culinary skill, value for money, service and atmosphere.
    3) DITTO on everything about basic manners and decorum – taking off that #$%^&* baseball cap, and honoring a place (and yourself) with your appearance. Going totally old fogey here, I am determined to stop the race to the bottom, where everyone will wear pajamas and house slippers everywhere.
You’re a great addition to the blogosphere!

    1. Hi Mary Katherine, You are so funny. Thanks for all the great support. I know, I have to take many snack breaks when I am writing my blog. Hope you have a wonderful week. Rob
